Core Activities

Operating out of 200,000 square foot facility on the Alconbury Weald Industrial Estate, MM Flowers processes 11 million stems on average each week in the production of both straight line and luxury hand tied bouquets’ across both its store and digital customers. Currently MM Flowers has 28% of the UK cut flower market and there is opportunity to increase this further.

The business has an international supply chain and processes products daily from Europe, Africa and South America.

There are 700 MM Flowers employees based at Alconbury. This team is supported by approximately 300 agency workers, increasing to around 1200 during peak times, from strategic labour provider Staffline.

Their belief in the need to protect the environment, ethical working and a having a positive impact on the communities where they operate guides their approach to developing long term sustainable supply chains. They intend to deliver the highest quality flowers to all customers, versus our competitive set, from shareholders’ farms. 

3 Year Plan

Over the next 3 years MM Flowers expects to continue to grow, including doubling the size of the digital business. This will be enabled through a re-design of their main production facility, streamlining the layout and automating key processes.
